Sometimes My Weeks Look Like This. and I Love It.

Does anyone else get in a manic work-mode from time to time?

I might be in the midst of one of these seasons right now. I take that back. Not even 'might be' I totally and completely am in the midst of one of these manic work seasons.

I wake up. Pee. Get coffee. & Then get to working. Until it's time to repeat the whole process.

Thankfully, I've got the assistance of Kristin and Alicia on a couple days a week. They're helping me ride this manic work-mode a little longer. I'm so grateful.

  • While we worked together yesterday, I was able to publish this awesome Host Manual for Host Concerts available in my store.
  • We're sending out myriads of emails and collecting even more data from The Googles using our supreme internet stalker skillz.
  • The Cello Yoga CD's are finally on their way to my house as I type this. Yay!
  • The January 17th show with Stephanie Anne Johnson at the Gig Harbor Boatshop is SOLD OUT! I'm so excited for that evening. It's gonna be a blast.

I get to spend this weekend with a friend in Portland.

I'll be scoping out some Portland venues and catching up with this dear friend. I haven't seen her in months and I've kept putting the trip off for financial reasons, but I put my foot down. I'm taking the train, dammit. I will see her if it's the last thing I do.

I forsee many episodes of Law & Order SVU, Murder She Wrote, and rosé wine. (You're right! We are classy ladies!)

Even more importantly...

I'm officially in "Recording Season!"

I met with my producer, James Resch, several times this week with great success. We're moving beyond the 'demo phase' and into the construction/dreaming phase of recording my full-length.

I can't tell you how cool it is to see these songs come to life.

Bursts of Creative Inspiration

After coming home from a loooong and awesome recording session, I went to bed last night at 2am, and fell asleep, mid-verse, while writing a new song. Wouldn't you know it, I woke up with my phone still in my hand. (I keep my unfinished lyrics there.) and was able to immediately pump out the 2 final verses of a BRAND NEW SONG.

Sometimes my weeks look like this. and I love it.
