I can't believe it! Well, I should believe it, I've been asking for drawings from my students for MONTHS! YES! *fist pump in the sky* I knew they wouldn't let me down.
You see, for several of my students I'll assign 20ish minutes worth of practice material. For the remaining amount of time in their practice sessions they are allowed to do anything cello-related.
- Review all thier old pieces (although that's usually part of the assignment)
- Listen to cello music
- Play a music game online
- Read a book about cellists
- Watch other cellists on YouTube
- and my favorite, Draw me a picture while listening to the Suzuki repertoire.
I have frames I bought from IKEA waiting to be hung on the wall on my studio with beautiful pictures like the one my student, Kay, brought for me yesterday.
Sigh... I love my students - They're SO brilliant! Don't you agree?!
