I'm pleased to announce that I've been asked to be part of Elaina Ellis' performance/talk on Inspiring Change Through Collaboration at tomorrow's TEDxTacoma. I'm honored to be a part and can't wait to hear all the other speakers!
If you've followed this blog for any length of time you'll know how big a fan I am of what comes out of the TED experience!
Be sure to download the free iPhone app, (search "TEDxTacoma" in your app store) so you can be involved, even from afar!
Here's a little about TED: TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 26 years ago, TED has grown to support those world-changing ideas with multiple initiatives. At TED, the world's leading thinkers and doers are asked to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. Talks are then made available, free, at www.TED.com
Here's a little about TEDx Events: The TEDx program encompasses more than stage talks and conversations. Around the world, organizers are customizing the TEDx experience to bring ideas worth spreading to diverse audiences and cultures.
TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level.
At TEDx events, a screening of TEDTalks videos -- or a combination of live presenters and TEDTalks videos -- sparks deep conversation and connections. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.
