When a Facebook Post Becomes a Song...!

One of my songwriting mentors, Jan Krist, saw a post I made on Facebook earlier this week....

My original post...

Honesty - Sometimes it feels like I'm just pouring my heart into tiny glass bottles, sending them out into the Puget Sound with slim chances that it will reach someone who actually finds meaning in receiving it.

But that is not the case with concerts. Actual in-person concerts. Where we *all* wear something other than pajamas. Where we engage our whole being in something other than this week's Netflix binge.

Having spent the last 45 days holed-up in a window-less office making Christmas music in October, all I can say is I am really really looking forward to this weekend.

My heart needs to feel it is not alone in its grief. My mind needs a break from all the chaos. My soul needs to feel something familiar and comforting.

I would love to see you [at these concerts] this weekend. I promise not to wear pajamas.

Jan's Challenge...

Song alert. I see a song in your words. If you don't use it I will girl (;

My Response...

Ack! *placing flag in ground* I got this one!
